Sound description: Brent and Crista like to believe that they are bringing a fresh angle to the the hip-hop world. Brent's writing style has brought together a fusion of hard-hitting beats, as well as get down, groovy club tracks. They've written everything from political tracks, like "Hip Politics," which exposes the ongoing problems with the government, to personal stories like the song "Let It Out." This combination has turned out to be something everyone can groove to, while bringing awareness to social and political issues, as heard on our single, "On The Run." C13 is all about bringing positive light.

Circle 13's two members, Brent Brehony and Crista Carroll, met 19 years ago and married in 1994. Music had always been a driving force in their life together. They have each played many roles in the journey thus far, leading them to the completion of their debut, the Come Feel This project. They are very proud of the songs and excited to share them with everyone.
Circle 13 started this music in the late fall of 2004. Brent started writing some songs for a solo project and asked Crista to sing a couple of hooks. Creative spirit took over and the duo began working together and contributing equally. This album was written as a collection of songs, which they hope people will regard as a chapters in Circle 13's story.
The band has performed at the Wildcat Lounge, the Santa Barbara Fair & Expo, the Ventura Theater, the Musical Cafe, and the Lush Club in Santa Monica, as well as being the featured artist on 92.9 KJEE's weekly "Localize It Pick of the Week" night with Phat J. They've also been a featured artist in the Independent's now-defunct "Locals Only" column.

Current status
<em>Come Feel This</em> has kept Circle 13 busy promoting. C13 has been hitting the stage up and down the California coast, getting the duo positive press right away. The CD has been reviewed by esteemed entertainment writer Adam Bernard (<em>adamsblogspot.com</em>). They've also had a full page article in the <em>Santa Barbara News Press</em> and were the featured act in the <em>Santa Barbara Independent</em>'s "Locals Only" column. Three songs from the CD were featured in the independent film <em>The 13th Alley</em>. And, thanks to KJEE DJ's Phat J & Spencer, they've had radio airplay and a live in-studio performance on 92.9 FM. THe band has also filmed TV spots for the Indie Music Show and the Musical Cafe. Both shows can be viewed on the band's MySpace page, as well as on their official website. Most recently, Circle 13 released their first music video for the song "Hip Politics." The video was Brent's directorial debut and was produced by Circle 13. The "Come Feel This" CD brings 13 songs and a twelve page full color insert with complete lyrics and has an official national release date for Sept. 16, 2008!
