Ms. Vienna Boa is a singer from New York City. She graduated from the Gallatin School of Individualized Study at NYU, traveled and lived in various countries, which include Guatemala, the Czech Republic, Holland, Hungary, Italy, Thailand, Austria, and Croatia, and has a musical background in opera and classical music. Spanish culture and language inform her art because it was the first language she learned to speak and sing. She was a guest electric guitarist in Jonathan Demme’s film, Rachel Getting Married, and now counts both L.A. and N.Y. as her homes.
Boa combines classical influences with rock sensibilities and fashion to create a vision of high definition performance art with her music. She produces all her work, adding supernova effects and cosmic likings to her sound, along with synthesizers, beats, choral counterpoints, and harmony. Melody is a prime factor in her work, and with it, lyrics coalesce mellifluously into poetic communication — all prime for the theatre of the dance floor. Boa is currently based in fantastic Santa Barbara, California, where among other things, she is also writing a symphony.
