Description: Noted for addressing gang violence with an approach that stresses empowerment over 'tougher than thou' legislation, Father Gregory Boyle is a Jesuit priest and founder of the economic development programs Jobs for a Future and Homeboy Industries. He is the former pastor of Dolores Mission Church, the poorest parish in Los Angeles and home to the highest concentration of gang activity in the city.
