Getting Well and Staying Healthy

Springboard for Health and Wellness Lectures Series with Carpinteria Girls Inc.

When: Thursday, Jan. 24, 2008, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Description: The 8 week lecture series, Getting Well and Staying Healthy kicks off January 24th at 6 pm with an organic dinner and lecture at Girls Inc. in Carpinteria. This is the first of 8 lectures that will bring medical doctors, therapists, naturopathic doctors, acupuncturists, life coaches, and organic chefs to the community for nights of informative discussions.

The weekly lecture series is offered through the Issels Medical Center until the end of March. The medical center, started by Christian Issels, N.D., specializes in alternative cancer treatments and promotes natural therapies as alternatives to many traditional disease treatments. The series’ focuses on disease prevention and will cover topics including recurrence prevention, fortifying the immune system while receiving cancer treatments, and dietary and lifestyle counseling before, during, and after disease.

The cost for the first dinner and lecture is $30 per person. Please contact the Issels Medical Center to RSVP and inquire about weekly location information.
