Description: For women in the last trimester and their coaches who want to learn about caring for themselves. Includes common discomforts of pregnancy; an in-depth discussion of labor and delivery; and Lamaze techniques for each stage of labor. Covers pain management, relaxation techniques and the "goodie bag" to be used during active labor. Reviews the postpartum period,
bonding, variations in and care of the newborn. Breast-feeding techniques presented by a certified lactation consultant. Bring a pillow or blanket and dress comfortably.
Taught by an RN, OB/Gyn NP, Certified Lamaze Educator, Carol Gemberling, R.N., M.S.N.
Register at first session desirable. no registration after the second session.
