Description: Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program (HICAP) counselors assist Medicare Beneficiaries with Medicare claims, appeals, and denials or delays of service or treatment. You don't need to have experience with insurance or Medicare to become a volunteer counselor. All you need just patience, good listening skills and the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively.
Six weeks of training. All are welcome to attend the orientation and find out more about what you can do to serve your community.
