Description: The Science and Engineering Council’s monthly luncheon meetings serve as a networking opportunity and meeting point for the professionally diverse community of S.B., Goleta and surrounding communities.
This month: UCSB’s Technology Management Program is an intensive, campus-wide certificate program that prepares students to be successful technology entrepreneurs. Each year, TMP students may participate in the annual New Venture Competition. The rigorous New Venture Competition lasts six months, and winners receive cash prizes for most fundable business plans. Past winners include Inogen and Datapoint. Katheryn Greenaway, UCSB TMP Program Manager, will provide an introduction to UCSB’s TMP and to the New Venture Competition. Two of 2008’s winners also speak. Sherrie Robert and Troy Baker will also present.
