Description: Owned and operated by the Maritime Museum of San Diego, the Tall Ship Californian was built in San Diego in 1984 at Spanish Landing. She is a replica of the C.W Lawrence, which was built in 1847 in Washington DC and sent to the west coast in time to be part of the Californian Gold Rush. C.W Lawrence was part of the Revenue Service, a precursor of the modern United States Coast Guard.
