Worldwide Knit in Public Day

Bring knitting out of your living rooms and into the streets

When: Saturday, June 14, 2008, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Where: Loop and Leaf, 536 Brinkerhoff Ave., Santa Barbara

Description: Loop & Leaf sponsors a book-signing by Joan Tapper, Santa Barbara resident and author of Shear Spirit, demonstrations, prizes and live music. Knitters, crocheters and all interested in the Fiber Arts, will enjoy learning where our materials originate, from petting alpacas from Alpacas of Cusco North (in Santa Ynez), seeing fiber spun with drop spindles, and watching as knitters create beautiful garments.

And what better compliment to Knitting than Tea...just for WWKIPD Loop & Leaf has worked with local chocolatier, Jessica Foster, to create tea infused chocolate truffles! Jessica will be sampling her truffles with our delicious Organic teas from Foxfire Teas, and will have a limited supply of these exclusive truffles available for sale
