Bringing Worlds Together Through Peace
Part of the Women's Festival
When: Saturday, March 8, 2008, 4:30 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.
Where: SBCC, 721 Cliff Dr., Santa Barbara
Age limit: All ages
Categories: Citizen's Alert
Community members and the general pulic are invited to join participants of the festival in a sacred peace circle to inspire personal and global peace. Join the Women's Festival at 4:30pm for live performances of renowned artists Soulfege and Carol Manzi which will lead into the ceremony commencing promptly at 5:15pm.
As we gather at 4:30 to enjoy the Afro-politan fusion band of Soulfege and the harmonious melodies of Opera Singer Carol Manzi, the Women's Festival will facilitate the peace circle ceremony on the West Campus lawn of SBCC at sunset.
The adult participants, standing in the outside of the circle, will make a pledge for peace to the children standing inside the circle, inspiring a better future to our next generation.
Participants are also encouraged to bring a small contribution to the national non-profit Nourish America, a top rated charity which aims to improve the health of those at risk of malnutrition.
This will be an incredibly inspirational event, so bring your family and participate in spreading peace in your community and across the globe.
