The First International Green2Gold Awards honoring environmental entrepreneurs and innovators (such as Julie Lewis "Pioneer" Award for eco inventor/entrepreneur-creator of "Deja Shoes") and especially honoring of environmentally and socially responsible celebrities such as LeVar Burton and sustainability advocate Gillian Christie of Christie Communications. This very special event will debut at the Women's Festivals, a new conference created to "celebrate the accomplishments of women and inspire others to realize their dreams," coinciding with the international women's day on March 8th with the launch of its inaugural event March 7 - 9th in Santa Barbara, California. A sister festival is scheduled for March 14 16th in Sedona. The brainchild of Patty DeDominic and Mary Schnack, both successful entrepreneurs in their own right, the Women's Festivals were created to provide an interactive, multi-cultural forum focusing on the five key areas of women's lives: Personal, Professional, Philanthropic, Political, and Planet.
