Description: Ballet Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara's own contemporary ballet company, presents Benjamin Harkarvy's "Premontion", the highly evocative work set to Ravel's "Introduction and Allegro". This stunning work was created for BSB's Artistic Director Carrie Diamond's first company, New American Ballet Ensemble, in 1990, and features guest artist and original cast member, Carlos Fittante. All other works on concert were created in NYC between the years 1989 and 2008. This concert offers the community an opportunity to see some of BSB's earliest repertoire developed during a highly fertile time in NYC. In addition to Harkarvy, choreographers include Diamond, Fittante and Lizabeth Skalski. Meet the dancers, choreographers, and guest artists at the Opening Night Gala, March 14th at 7:00 p.m.
