Carpinteria Marsh and Bluffs Weeding Day

Come help keep nature beautiful, the second Sunday of every month

When: Sunday, May 11, 2008, 10 a.m.

Where: Meet at Sandyland and Ash aves., Carpinteria.

Cost: Not available

Age limit: Not available

Categories: Citizen's Alert

Description: We have a weed day once a month at the Carpinteria Salt Marsh Nature Park and the Carpinteria Bluffs Nature Preserve. Our natural areas are becoming overrun with non-native vegetation, and if we don't pull weeds at these two sites, areas that have been restored to native vegetation, they will get trashed. We need more native vegetation to increase our native wildlife.

Carpinteria Salt Marsh Nature Park: We meet at the telescope entrance on Ash Avenue between Third Street and Sandyland Avenue at 10am , and then Carpinteria Bluffs Nature Preserve, meeting in the parking lot at the junction of Bailard and Carpinteria Avenue at 1pm on the following Sundays:
February 10, March 9, April 13, May 11, June 8

Phone: 805-684-8077
