Description: The second edition of Helen Heightsman Gordon's book The Secret Love Story in Shakespeare's Sonnets has just been released. At a book-signing event May 22, Dr. Gordon will explain why Shakespeare's work was not published until after his death. She will reveal the identity of the Dark Lady, the Rival Poet, and the Fair Youth in the sonnets. New evidence of Shakespeare's membership in two secret societies offers clues to deciphering the enigmatic Dedication to the Sonnets of 1609.
