Description: Hal Onserud has worked with Tristan Honsinger, Cecil Taylor, Bill Dixon, William Parker, Jackson Krall and many many many others both in the U.S., Canada and Europe. Onserud is still improvising and he’s honed his art to ever greater improvisational dimensions and now has a wide repertoire of sounds, songs, poems and rag tag dances to draw on.
Michael Vlatkovich, trombonist, composer, and arranger, is one of the leading talents among Los Angeles improvisational players. Located on the West Coast since 1973, he is an emotionally charged performer, comfortable in a variety of jazz and world music styles. Vlatkovich has performed extensively in the United States, Canada, and Europe. His improvisionally free music expresses raw power and beauty in a minimally structured format.
The Colter Frazier Quartet is a unique quartet of original instrumental music featuring Nick Coventry (viola/violin), Miles Jay (bass), and Rob Wallace (drums/percussion). Some influences include Louis Sclavis, Greg Osby, David Binney, and Philip Glass.
