Students will learn how to throw on the wheel. All skill levels are welcome. Friday 4-6pm is a lecture and demonstration. Saturday will include centering and throwing in two class sessions. 10am-12noon or 1pm-3pm. Sunday students learn to trim a foot on the bottom of a bowl, embellish the ones they threw on Sat and alter a form. 2 separate Classes are held in 2 sessions 10-12 or 1-3.
Evening Open Studio Saturday 6-8
This class will involve the fundamentals of making pottery. Beginners will learn the basics of wheel throwing and will see themselves go from making a simple cylinder to an altered carved vase. Hand-building techniques will also be introduced and incorporated with the thrown vessels. Students will also learn to trim a foot on the bottoms of the bowls. All skill levels are welcome.
