Where: SBCC, 721 Cliff Dr., Santa Barbara

Do you ever look at S.B.'s dramatic moutain backdrop, or the islands offshore and wonder what their story is? Now you can discover the many geologic forces beyond earthquakes that have literally shaped the S.B. area. Join SBCC Geology instructor Jan Dependahl and friends of St. Michael's University Church-Isla Vista for a geologic excursion through S.B. By the end of this one-day adventure, you'll have absorbed an understanding and appreciation for S.B.'s fascinating geologic history, and you will be supporting St. Michael's Episcopal Campus and Isla Vista Ministry! St. Mike's is a community that welcomes everyone, invites you to bring your whole self to church and encourages you to ask lots of questions! The trip will cover areas from the Riviera to West Goleta. Directions to the meeting location for the tour will be provided upon registration. Cost includes continental breakfast, sack lunch, and transportation.
