Description: The public is invited to come and watch as this group of talented artists captures aspects of the Museum’s garden. Common Ground’s primary focus is botanical painting, with the subject matter often featuring fallen leaves, seeds, and pods. The artists, Jay Browne, Sharron Carleton, Jan Clouse, Carol Dougherty, and Barbara Janelle, met while attending a Botanical Illustration class taught by Chris Chapman. The group often meets outside in local parks, gardens, or open spaces. Each artist finds in the others a source of support, inspiration, and information.
