Eco Carnival!

Fundraiser for Washington School Foundation.

When: Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Where: Washington Elementary School, 290 Lighthouse Rd.

Cost: Free

Age limit: Not available

Categories: Calendar of Fundraisers

Description: This year's event is a Green Walk of environmental organizations and eco-friendly prizes; a Zero Waste event.
Proceeds from the event pay for integral science, art, music, and PE programs at the school. The funds also allow the purchasing of necessary supplies for teachers, the provision of after-school enrichment classes, and access to field trip transportation for all of our students. Such fundraising efforts are essential in allowing Washington School to provide a rich, well-rounded, and stimulating academic and life experience for our children. Biking or walking to this event is strongly encouraged!

GREAT IDEA!
Mesa Garden Exchange is excited to be a part of our neighbor Washington School's Eco Carnival. If you have produce you'd like to share, bring it to our table. If you'd like to learn more about Mesa Exchanges and other garden/food exchanges, stop by our table. Of course, bring some cash to play some classic carnival games and enjoy yummy food, too, as this is a fun way to support our local school.
THANKS,
