Description: Following the successful screening of the documentary Amargosa, introducing Ms. Becket's incredible accomplishments to this community, the Santa Ynez Valley Performing Arts Company is actively pursuing its efforts and commitment to contribute to her Fund. As we are dedicating our 22nd performing season to this amazing artist, whose name is synonymous with art: she is a dancer, a painter, and a composer. She created the Amargosa Opera House at Death Valley Junction some forty years ago and has been entertaining audiences from all over the world ever since. We are inviting the public to support this cause and be a part of history in the art field. Ms. Becket in her earlier days and when able, contributed to numerous organizations, so it is now time to reciprocate. In a beautiful french atmosphere, an evening of music, dance, exquisite dining awaits the art enthusiast; an array of dance styles will be performed, French original music will enchant your ear, and chef Jacques Toulet will tantalize your palate with the elegance of French cooking. It will be Paris in the heart of Solvang! Seating is limited, so please RSVP.
