Description: Panelists will consider the representation of the people and places of Los Angeles in photography and film in response to the concurrent exhibitions: Vanishing Los Angeles: The Photography of Mary Bowling at the University Art Museum, and Made in Hollywood: Photographs from the John Kobal Foundation.
The featured panelists will be Colin Gardner, Chair, Department of Art, UCSB, Karen Sinsheimer, Curator of Photography, S.B. Museum of Art, and
Charles Wolfe, Professor, Film and Media Studies, UCSB.
