Description: KJEE’s Summer Round Up returns to the Santa Barbara Bowl on Sunday, May 17.

This year’s line-up features arguably one of radio’s hottest bands: Nashville’s Kings of Leon, whose single ‘Sex On Fire’ has burned up the Billboard charts. The Round Up also features LA’s Airborne Toxic Event, Sacramento’s FAR and Hawaii’s Iration. The Grammy-winning, Followills—Caleb-lead vocals/guitar, Nathan-drums, Jared-bass and their cousin Matthew-lead guitar—have released 4 hit records, crowned by 2008’s Only By The Night—which has cemented their status as an ever shape-shifting, world-class rock band.

A buzz band in the truest sense, Airborne Toxic Event have become the darlings of local radio with songs that feature unforgettable hooks and “poetry you can dance to.” FAR is back—after a decade since their breakup and widely acclaimed release, Water & Solutions—dominating the rock airwaves with a cover of Ginuwine’s 1996 hit “Pony.” And, drawing from multiple styles of music, Iration
has created a sound that is impossible to categorize—it’s a truly unique blend of Reggae and Rock.
