An Evening of Classic Lily Tomlin

Academy Award-nominated comedic star of stage, television, and the movies.

When: Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, 8 p.m.

Where: Lobero Theatre, 33 E. Canon Perdido St., Santa Barbara

Cost: $72 - $128

Age limit: Not available

Categories: Comedy

Description: From sassy switchboard operator Ernestine to devilish five-and-a-half year old Edith Ann, Lily Tomlin’s characters are unforgettable. This star of stage, television and movies is certainly one of the world’s funniest women. She comes to the Lobero for a one-woman show – with her best-loved characters in tow. Experience the “greatest hits” of this multiple Tony and Emmy winner. “Tomlin’s portrayal of a dozen different characters, each delineated without benefit of costume changes or props,” says the New York Times, “is still amazing.”

UPDATE: As of May 7, this event has been postponed indefinitely due to the Jesusita Fire.

Comments

Hi - this is David Asbell, Execuitive Director of the Lobero Theatre. Thanks for the update on Lily Tomlin on your web page, however the engagement has not been Cancelled, it has been POSTPONED until October 16 & 17. This is a big difference as many ticket buyers are choosing to keep their tickets for the make-up date instead of asking for a refund, which is mandatory in a cancelled event.

Please make this change on your web page and thanks for all the great coverage of our Lobero Live events.
