As an essayist, professor, and critic for the Los Angeles Times and many other publications, David Pagel has become one of the foremost authorities on contemporary painting in Southern California and beyond. His illustrated lecture addresses the work of Charles Garabedian, and its context among other contemporary figurative painters.
