Join the Santa Barbara Public Library and The Junior League of Santa Barbara for our 3rd Annual Día De Los Libros/Day of the Book (Día) Festival on Saturday, April 16 from 11am to 3pm. The celebration takes place in the Central Library outdoor plaza and Faulkner Gallery, at 40 E. Anapamu St.
Storytellers Kirk Henning and Joseph Velasco will be telling stories and entertaining children and adults of all ages. The Brazilian Cultural Arts Center will provide Afro-Brazilian music and dance, and local youth mariachi and dancing groups will perform. Through the generosity of sponsors and the Santa Barbara Junior League, the event will also feature Estrellita the Clown. Free popcorn, snacks and books will be distributed while supplies last.
Nationally recognized storyteller and author Olga Loya will close the event, beginning at 2pm inside the Faulkner Gallery
