The concert samples the unique contributions of sixteenth to twenty-first century composers. The program highlights organ masterworks by Franz Tunder, Dietrich Buxtehude, Johann Pachelbel, J. S. Bach, Padre Rafael Angles, Sir C. Hubert H. Parry, Alfred V. Fedak, David A. Gell, and Gilbert M. Martin. The digital and pipe combination organ of the church offers a vast array of tonal colors.
David A. Gell serves both as a church musician and a concert artist. His recitals, concerts, and workshops include programs in California, Louisiana, Hawaii, Colorado, the National Cathedral Summer Music Festival in Washington, D.C., Canada, and European tours of historic instruments. His repertoire is vast and varied, ranging from Sweelinck and the Baroque masters to premiere performances if his compositions.
