Directed by Maggie Mixsell
Morning's at Seven, by Paul Osborn, takes us back to the pre-WWII year 1938. Set in Midwestern America over a two-day time span, the play introduces us to a family of four sisters, and their respective husbands, in their sixties and seventies who have lived their entire lives within walking distance of each other. Crises interrupt the peaceful summertime rhythms of family life, allowing us to perceive the joys and struggles, the affections and resentments that are fundamental to relationships, aging, and domestic conflicts. Morning's at Seven is a poignant family story flavored with humor and charm. At the conclusion of the play, we recognize and rejoice in the trust and caring that develops over years in the sisters’ tight-knit community.
