The Central Library has been closed on Monday for the past two years due to budget reductions. When the City Council proposed and approved the reopening of the Eastside Library in March of this year, the Council also directed staff to develop a budget to reopen the Central Library on Monday beginning in July.
Effective June 30, the libraries’ schedules will be:
Central Library – Monday-Thursday 10am-7pm, Friday and Saturday 10am-5:30pm, and Sunday 1-5pm
For a full schedule of hours and holidays at all Santa Barbara Public Library System library branches, visit the website at SBPLibrary.org.
