Many of us want to make change in our world, but no one's ever told us how. Activism begins with critical awareness, which begins with strong reading and writing habits. We will hear many possibilities for improving critical awareness and what a potent and lasting effect social activism can have on students of all ages. Singer combines critical skills with content-area knowledge in project-based invitations that encourage educated, engaged citizenship.
Part of Antioch University's Social Justice Series Writing for Social Change.
