Hambo and Schottis Dance
Learn popular Swedish dances from the ground up, followed by general Scandinavian dancing.

Learn Hambo and Schottis dances in the 5:30 - 6:30 hour before the contra dance at Carrillo Rec Center on the first Sunday of each month. Basics of Hambo and Schottis will be covered for newcomers; then each session will review the basics, work on styling, and add a few variations. If there is interest, a few other popular Scandinavian dances such as Rørospols and snoa may be taught.
All are welcome, no partner necessary. Hambo/schottis workshop from 5:30 to 6:30 pm, followed by general Scandinavian dancing from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. Wear laced shoes, preferably with leather soles.
