San Jose Taiko’s energetic rhythm ride is sure to get youngsters tapping their toes, clapping their hands and thrilling to the beat! Inspired by traditional Japanese drumming, this exciting percussion ensemble – a sure-fire kid-pleaser – expresses the beauty of the human spirit through the resonant voice of taiko, the Japanese drum. Kids will learn not only about Japanese heritage but other world rhythms, such as African, Balinese, Brazilian, Latin and jazz percussion, which San Jose Taiko’s spirited drummers weave into their performance, transcending cultural boundaries.
