Had trouble getting through it in high school? This 90-minute exploration of sin, expiation, and resurrection makes for a taut and electrifying theatrical experience. The play is performed by only three actors, playing Raskolnikov (the alleged murderer), Porfiry Petrovitch (the detective), Sonia (the young prostitute) and many other characters in this famous story about a double murder, a police investigation, and the power of love.
