Snowy Plover Breeding Season is beginning! The plovers are an endangered shorebird that lay their eggs directly on the sand. The birds are easily scared from their nests by people and dogs. Volunteers teach the public about the threatened status of the bird and ask people to leash their dogs, and to avoid sensitive areas of the beach. To become a volunteer, please email email@example.com.
