The Los Angeles Philharmonic, entering its 94th season in 2012-2013, is recognized as one of the world's outstanding orchestras and is leading the way in innovative programming and redefining the musical experience. Outgoing Chief Conductor of the Philadelphia Orchestra and current Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the Royal Philharmonic, Charles Dutoit regularly collaborates with the world's leading orchestras. Award-winning cellist Gautier Capuçon has taken the international music world by storm with performances around the globe since winning the Victoires de la Musique as “New Talent of the Year” in 2001. Carrie Dennis has been playing with the Los Angeles Philharmonic as Principal Viola since 2008 after being awarded the position by Esa-Pekka Salonen. She is a graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music with a degree in violin and artists’ diploma in viola.
