Jorge Castañeda was Foreign Minister of Mexico from 2000 to 2003 and attempted to run for President of Mexico as an independent candidate in 2006. The renowned public intellectual, political scientist and prolific writer has focused on Latin American politics, comparative politics and U.S.-Latin American relations. Among his many books are a biography of Che Guevara and 2011’s Mañana Forever?: Mexico and the Mexicans. Castañeda will discuss issues around immigration from Mexico to the U.S., as well as in a global context.
