Snowy Plover Docent Training
Docents spend 2 hours a week at at Sands Beach in Goleta, teaching the public about the threatened status of the Snowy Plover, and working to protect the beach habitat for the birds.
When: Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, 9 a.m. to noon
Where: Coal Oil Point Reserve, Devereux area, UCSB West Campus, Santa Barbara
Age limit: 18+
Is your new years resolution to volunteer somewhere? To spend more time outdoors? To learn more about your natural environment? You can accomplish all three as a Snowy Plover Docent!
