Allan Hancock College Community Education will present its free international film series in March. Films are shown at the Santa Maria campus on four Fridays at 6:30 p.m. in the Forum (C-40) and are presented by members of the Fine Arts faculty (no film showing March 22). Registration is required. You must be at least age 18 to attend.
The series examines film as an art form and emphasizes film appreciation – a study of historical context, dramatic issues, artistic and technical objectives, and narrative genre. After viewing films, participants critically analyze all of these elements in order to develop a broad appreciation, insight, and understanding of visual media.
