Description:

You can help protect an endangered shore bird! The snowy plovers are beginning their breeding season at Sands Beach in Goleta. We are looking for volunteer docents to help protect plover habitat so that the birds can lay their eggs and raise their chicks on the beach! Docents spend 2 hours a week on Sands beach, teaching the public about the endangered status of the bird.
