Elings Park will host the only Rockabilly Festival in the County of Santa Barbara on the soccer fields.
Rebel Yell began as a daring new project to praise rockabilly music, hot rods, and much of the lifestyle that is part of this genre. This event will showcase, promote, celebrate and educate on recognizing this music as an art form that is fun and an evolving cultural expression.
The park strives to offer original, exciting, and entertaining events that only Santa Barbara could offer. A fun family event, Rebel Yell is also offering local food, a beer garden and a kid’s corral with a 50 foot obstacle course jumper. Live music will feature The Hubcap Stealers, Nate Latta and rockabilly great Tony Balbinot and The Cadillac Angels.
Now hosting almost a dozen events per year, Elings Park sparkles as the crown jewel among Santa Barbara’s recreational sites. Back in 1965 the park’s founding father Jerry Harwin undertook the challenge to convert a landfill into a lush, beautiful park where people of all ages, races, and socioeconomic backgrounds can play together, reconnect, and thrive- a park built by the community and for the community.
