Local Heroes Wanted
Each year in our Thanksgiving issue, the Independent honors our Local Heroes, Santa Barbarans who make our community a better place to live. For this, our 22nd Annual Local Heroes celebration, we again ask our readers to help us give thanks to those whose good works and deeds may otherwise go unsung. Please nominate a person known to you who deserves such recognition. Send us his or her name and phone number, and a brief summary of why you believe s/he is a Local Hero. Make sure you also include your name and phone number. All nominations are due by Friday, September 12th.
