Synopsis:
Nearly seven billion citizens depend on it, but very few know exactly what it is, where it comes from, or how its affecting the future of life on earth as we know it. Following the story of crude oil from its geological origins to the present, CRUDE describes how society has developed and exploited oil to reach its current levels of technology. The story allows for a deeper understanding of how peak oil and global warming are intimately connected, creating great dangers threatening human civilization. CRUDE also explores how the Earth, along with current society, is being pushed into places it cannot afford to go. Devastating changes are approaching fast and our contemporary way of life is not prepared for the consequences.
