Synopsis:
Light Yagami stumbles upon a notebook that enables him to kill anyone simply by writing their name down. With this newfound ability, Light sets out on a mission to kill criminals, making him a local hero. A mysterious investigator, known only as L, begins to narrow down the suspects and is hot on Lights trail. Things get even more complicated when Lights father is put in charge of the investigation and members of the team begin to die. Based on an immensely popular manga, this thrilling mystery/action film has been a pop-culture phenomenon all across Asia - destroying box office competition and packing houses. Unique in that it relies on an intense story more than slick action, this gem is a must for any J-horror fan.
