Beginning this month, UCSB Extension is offering a course called
“Internships for People over 50.” The class is for retired or
nearly retired members of the community who are ready to make the
most of the next, vital stage of their lives. Internships are a
great way to delve into a new area of interest, sample a new
career, or learn a new skill. The five meetings will be held on
Mondays, from October 16 to November 13, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., at
the Braille Institute (2031 De la Vina Street). Enroll online at
www.extension.ucsb.edu/olli or at the door. Osher Lifelong Learning
Institute members $60; nonmembers $85. For more info, call 893-4200
or visit www.extension.ucsb.edu/OLLI/courses/internships.
