City Council Mulls Restricting Dancing at Local Clubs

Due to complaints from residents and hotel owners, and the high number of alcohol-related incidents and crime in downtown’s “entertainment district,” the Santa Barbara City Council is considering restricting the approval of dancing permits for clubs, capping the number of permits at those already granted, and establishing a five-step process for revocation.
