• Foster grandparents are needed for 15 hours per week to assist in Santa Barbara, Ventura, and San Luis Obispo counties’ schools. Participating volunteers must be at least 60 years old, qualify as low-income residents, and have a passion for serving the community. Benefits include a tax-exempt stipend, one meal per day while on duty, travel reimbursement, an annual health appraisal, and monthly in-service meetings. Call 884-7226.

• Fiesta has officially arrived, but not without the help of many volunteers. Volunteers are still needed to assist as parade marshals at the El Desfile Hist³rico on Friday, August 3, and to serve as Bienvenidos Ambassadors to welcome Fiesta visitors.
