Officials Complete Investigation of Fire’s Cause

In related Zaca news, officials completed their investigation last week of the incident that sparked the fire on 7/4. An exhaustive report detailing what exactly happened at the Bell Canyon private residence - where a grinder sent sparks in the surrounding grasses - was submitted to county prosecutors for possible criminal charges. A decision on the matter is expected in early August. To date, fighting the Zaca Fire has cost the state more than $39 million.
