SB Asset Management to Direct New Mutual Fund

Santa Barbara Asset Management will be directing a new small-to-mid-cap mutual fund for Nuveen Investments of Chicago. The Nuveen Santa Barbara Growth Opportunities Fund invests in companies it believes have growth potential, focusing on such factors as new management, potential for being acquired, providing higher dividends, and “fallen angels” that the manager believes are near turnaround, according to a statement by Nuveen spokesperson Kathleen Cardoza.
