Local Teacher Receives Honors For Chalk Art


Santa Barbara resident and Laguna Blanca School art teacher Delphine Louie was awarded first place in the Madonnari Semplici (amateur) category at the I Madonnari Chalk Painting Festival in Mantova, Italy on 8/17. There were 125 entries overall, and 58 in the semplici category. Her first place finish secures Louie’s return to the festival as a qualificati in the main category of more experienced entrants in 2008.
