Local Teacher Gets Helps Kids Help Kids

San Marcos High School teacher Jamie DeVries is simultaneously making class interesting and teaching students the value of community service through the real-life experience of raising money for the “Kids Helping Kids” program through local charity Unity Shoppe. The project-run by senior AP Economics students and supervised by DeVries-will culminate in a charity dinner, raffle, and auction on 12/11, to benefit low-income families in our community.
