Calling fax machines "the silent eco-killer," Santa Barbara based CallWave is attempting to call attention to its virtual fax service by planting a native tree for every new subscriber, though the American Forests' Global ReLeaf campaign. According to CallWave estimates, 17 million trees are used annually to supply the 210 billion sheets of fax paper used by US companies annually.
